Basbousa - Eygptian by Paty's Kitchen



Ingredients:
2 cups fine semolina (wheat semolina is best)
1 tablespoon baking powder.
1/2 cup dry coconut
1/2 cup of butter/or margarine
4tbsp of canola oil
3 tablespoon orange blossom water or rose water or 1      teaspoon pure vanilla
1 cup 2% plain yogurt
1/4 cup white or brown sugar

-For lite sugar syrup
1/2 cup white or brown sugar
1/2 cup of water
1 teaspoon lemon juice.
1 tablespoon orange blossom
1 small cinnamon stick(optional)
1tsp of margarine to grease the baking tray.
1/2 cup whole or chopped nuts for garnish(I used already grilled almonds and            macadamia nuts)
